Objects of desire

18 September, 2008

My regular readers will know that I have a love of all things Doctor Who, including the long running classic series which ended in 1989. On the back of the new series which began in 2005, Character have produced a large range of “childrens” action figures. I put the word childrens in quote marks because, like me there are lots of adults that buy and collect these action figures too. Think original Star Wars action figures!

So, not to alienate the adults, Character have produced a short range of action fugures based on the classic series. They have produced 9 figures so far, including Tom Baker, Peter Davison & Colin Baker (4th, 5th & 6th Doctors), a Sea Devil, a Zygon, 2 robots SV7 & D84 from the story Robots of Death, and Magnus Greel & Mr Sin from The Talons of Weng Chiang. That’s the nine, exept it isn’t, because Magnus & Mr Sin come as one pack, which leaves me to the 9th.

Each pack contains a piece of the 9th figure, when put together makes the huge K1 robot from Tom Bakers first story “Robot”. These action figures can be purchased in good toy stores or available to order from their website direct.

Right where’s my credit card!
