Back to normality…

3 January, 2008

Now that Christmas and the new year are over and done with, normality resumes, almost. Apart from the fact that, like millions of others, I’ve eaten too much, drank too much and haven’t done any exercise apart from the obligatory walk in the park on new years day.

I’m back at work, feeling bloated and washed out. Instead of taking the opportunity of the week’s holiday to relax and wind down, I’ve run around frantic, had late nights and overdone the celebrations. I’ve made no new year resolutions because I’m too knackered to even lie to myself that I’m going to keep them up. I’ve decided instead to wait, until maybe February, then decide what I’m going to change in my life for 2008. At least by then I’ll have a clearer picture of what I really want to achieve both careerwise, physically and emotionally.

I’m having a month’s grace to contemplate my future and to set some real goals that are both realistic and achievable by the end of 2008.

Watch this space!

A happy new year to all and best wishes for 2008, may you live in peace, harmony and contentment.

Sounds like a good idea waiting a month or so until you make your resolutions. More likely to keep to them that way.

I hope you have a calmer period in January, and a very Happy New Year to you, too.
