While I wait endlessly for fame and fortune to arrive, I spend my days eeking out a megre living managing a small team of tutors, teaching adults, with varying degrees of learning difficulties, to read, write and do maths in South Yorkshire in the United Kingdom. I spend my nights listlessly waiting for fame and fortune to knock on my bedroom window and whisk me away to somewhere sunny and with lots of beaches and semi naked good looking men.

You could describe me as a 30 something, fast approaching 40, laid back kind of guy. I’ve seen too much in my life already to be shocked or phased by most things. I get sad, upset and angry when I come across cruelty to any living creature that has a leg count of less than 5. I love people watching in most situations, but preferabley with a drink in my hand, and find human beings a constant source of amusement, amazement and frustration.

Some of my friends have described me as “a dark horse” and “having more layers than an onion”. Contrary to what my friends say about me, I don’t think I’m complicated at all!

I’m a contributing author to other blogs, I have published works on both sides of the Atlantic, written non-fiction articles on sexuality for Helium, I’ve had short works of fiction published in 3AM-Magazine and on shortfiction.co.uk. and I am also a contributing writer to the UKs Mass Observation Project.

I’m constantly writing in one way or another and I’m thinking of having my keyboard surgically attached to the end of my fingers! One of these days I may even get a social life away from my computer…any offers are greatly appreciated.

On a final note, you may be wondering why “Big Yellow Taxi”? Well the answer is very simple. It just happens to be one of my all time favourite songs. It’s one of those songs that no matter who covers it, it still sounds good.
