I feel the earth move…
There I was fast asleep, tucked up in bed when at 1am this morning I was rudely woken up by an earthquake. How inconsiderate!”
The quake, which measured 5.3, according to the BBC, then later downscaled to 5.2 by the British Geological Survey, had its epicentre in Market Rasen, a small market town just like mine in Lincolnshire and only 79 miles away. The tremor was still quite strong, but not enough to knock items off shelves. According to the BBC it was the biggest the UK has experienced for almost 25 years, which happened in Wales in 1984 and measured 5.4 so not really much bigger than last night’s.
It’s not the first one I’ve experienced, I’ve felt them in LA and in Manchester in the UK also. It’s still not a nice experience, especially if you’re woken up by one and are disorientated anyway!

I make the earth move.
Thx. Not been away yet, as such. Am on a ’sabbatical’ from blogging though, for want of a better word.
Everyone felt it but me it seems!
Mike says:- Welcome back, where have you been?
I know this sounds incredibly ignorant, but I didn’t know you guys got earthquakes! I’m glad you’re alright.
Mike Says:-erm..yes Steve, we get earthquakes too, usually around 25 to 30 a year, but not usually on the scale of last night’s episode.
cyclones, earthquakes, tsunamis, heatwaves
can I move to another planet please?
luckily i’m in a country that never been effected by the earthquake
it’s nice to hear that ur ok =)
