Life on Mars?
I don’t read tabloid newspapers, especially The Sun, but sometimes they print stories which are too funny to not comment on. This particular story appeared on their website today and someone knowing my fondness for “Elvis found on the moon” type stories, kindly sent me the link.
This is the article.
“THESE amazing pictures seem to prove something geeks and Sci-Fi fans have suspected for years – there’s life on Mars.
Nasa’s Mars Explorer Spirit sent us these images from the surface of the Red Planet four years ago. After intense scrutiny, pictures that could be a living being have finally been found. An amateur astronomer commented: “As far as I’m concerned, this is proof.
“What else could it be but a human-like creature?”
A pile of rocks, perhaps?”
I’m guessing that this “creature” is probably made out the same substance that The Sun’s journalists have in their heads!

Its bullshit!
I love the “amateur astronomer”‘s comment, presented as if he’s the world authority on such things. I can just envisage the extensive research at the Sun’s offices. “Quick – get me an astronomer for a quote! Or, failing that, someone who once looked through a telescope pointed in the general direction of the sky.”
